Dear Carol, It is not every day that you meet someone as nice and reliable as Tammy. I called her from nj to arrange my screen repair and my slider door repair. | On January 17, 2008, upon
recommendations by a neighbor condo owner, B. & H. Lewkowitz signed a
contract with Gulfstream for the removal of our existing sliding doors and
installation of 3 new hurricane approved sliding doors totaling 26 lineal
feet. The work was started 1-1/2 weeks ahead of schedule and finished 1-1/2 days earlier than envisioned. The installation team was top notch, very particular in insuring a level floor and vertical walls. All irregularities were reworked with cement, as needed, and the installation followed engineering drawings in all details, including showing us that the length of screws and quality (in our case stainless steel were used.) Extreme care was used by the installers to avoid collateral damage to adjoining walls and any edge portion that required repair was re-finished to new condition. The Gulfstream team cleaned their work area daily. In addition, plastic walls were erected as needed to minimize dust penetration while doing concrete work. The building inspector praised the work of the company and commented it is a pleasure to see quality and attention to detail. There was no delay in signing off on the job. The job was to supply and install screen doors to each of four ground-floor patios of an 80's home, and to service the roller mechanism on a 48-inch glass door. Communication, from scheduling to work completion was excellent and the service prompt, efficient and courteous. The technician/installer found each of the vertical tr acks o ut of plumb but managed to make adjustments to have the doors fit as well as reasonably possible and they are performing as hoped. In servicing the roller of the glass door the tech. encountered a dificulty he felt was outside his experience and with good judgement he contacted John who came soon after to assess and correct it. Dear Carol & John: My previous satisfactory experience with your company was to have John replace some screens and replace wheels on sliding doors. After I signed your contract to replace all the windows and doors in my apartment, I had minor concerns that maybe I was allowing personality to influence my judgement. That I should be dealing with a larger company. In my life time I was the managing partner supervising the construction of a large office building for our Insurance agency and witnessed major construction for many of our clients. I have had additions added to our homes and feel that I am qualified to judge fine workmen ship.
